Obituary of Joseph A. Mendola, Sr.

Mr. Joseph A. Mendola, Sr., 47, of Church Street, Little Falls, New York died Thursday afternoon, August 13, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Utica, following a prolonged illness. Born on February 14, 1973 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Gasper Mendola and Marie Verdi Mendola. He was a graduate of Comsewogue High School, Class of 1992. He received his associate degree and his bachelor’s degree from Johnson & Wales in Providence, Rhode Island. He had been a resident of the local area for the past 18 years. Most recently Mr. Mendola worked for Remington Arms in Ilion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and spending time with his family and children. On August 15, 1998 in Thompson’s Cove, NY, Joseph was married to Michelle Perry. Together they celebrated almost 22 years of marriage. Joseph is survived by his wife, Michelle Mendola; children, Marie Mendola, Joey Mendola, Jr., Anthony Mendola; brother, William “Billy” Mendola; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday , August 19th from 4:00-7:00PM at Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY 13365. Contributions in memory of Joseph A.
