Obituary of Ethel L. Lamphere

Mrs. Ethel L. Lamphere, 94, formerly of Route 167, Jordanville died Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Valley Health Services in Herkimer. She was born on November 25, 1926 in the Town of Manheim on the family farm. She was the daughter of Fred J. and Addie (Bellinger) Williams. She graduated from Dolgeville Central School in 1944. On March 10, 1945 she was united in marriage to Arthur Lamphere. They resided in Inghams Mills, Dolgeville, and Middleville, and moved to the Town of Warren in 1967, when they purchased the Henry Swartz Farm. Mrs. Lamphere is survived by 4 children; son, Barry and his wife, Linda (Burdick) Lamphere of Ilion; daughters, Sharon Tibbitts of Little Falls, Shirley Ferris of Dolgeville, and Pamela Lamphere of Dolgeville. She is also survived by granddaughters, Shelly Dineen and her fiancée John Satterlee , Melissa Koziol, Michele Martin and her husband Scott; grandsons, Barry Lamphere, Jr., and Brenda, Brett Lamphere and Stephanie, Jeremy Lamphere and Lynn, and Jamie Lamphere and Heather, Gregory Dineen, Kris Koziol and Nancy, Garth Tibbitts; great-grandchildren, Bryce and Meghan, Daniel, Laeken and Chase, Dante and Annabella, Spencer, Lucas and Jae, Cody and Cole, Andrea and Amanda, Michael, Katie and Kelly; great-great-great grandchildren, Swayze, Avery, and Mason. She is also survived by two sisters in laws; Betty Lamphere, and Jean Lamphere; several nieces and nephews and cousins. Arthur predeceased her on June 2, 2005. She was also predeceased by her grandson, Jason Lamphere on June 7, 1992 and son-in-law, Gary Tibbetts on July 29, 2003. She was also predeceased by sisters, Bessie Glover and Marion Cramer; brothers, Harold, Ross, Claude, Harry and Leon Arnold. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday May 8th at 12:00 Noon at Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY 13365. the family will receive friends and relatives prior to the service from 10:00 am until the service. Burial will follow at Stratford Cemetery.
