Obituary of Betty M. Senft

Mrs. Betty M. Senft, 96, of Murray Corner Road, Fayetteville, Ohio died Monday, March 1, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Ohio, where she had been living for the past 8 years. Born on December 4, 1924 in Herkimer, NY, she was the daughter of Dean F. LaValley and Melva Dygert LaValley. She was educated in the Herkimer Schools and previously resided on Creek Road in the Town of Danube, NY. She was of United Methodist faith. Mrs. Senft enjoyed reading, working on puzzles and collecting antiques, especially old bottles. She greatly enjoyed visiting with family, especially her great grandchildren. On December 4, 1943 at Christ Lutheran Church in Little Falls, Betty was married to Albert J. Senft. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1987. Her brothers, Dean LaValley and Bernard LaValley and sister, Dorothy Bodenstein also predeceased her. Mrs. Senft is survived by her daughter, Karen Thompson; sons, Gary A. (Paulette) Senft, Kenneth A. and (Andra) Senft, Ronald D. Senft; 10 grandchildren, Richard, David, Brian Senft, Nathan Thompson, Kara Lewis, Laura Liske, Dawn Burns, Michael Thompson, Sherry Arsenault, Donnie Young; 22 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside service will be held at Indian Castle Cemetery when weather permits. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Betty M.
