Obituary of Ronald James Klimacek

Mr. Ronald James Klimacek, 75, of West Main Street Little Falls, NY died on June 5th, 2021 at Presbyterian Hospital, Queens, NY. He was born on August 23, 1945, the son of the late John and Olga (Smolik) Klimacek. Mr. Klimacek graduated with honors from Little Falls High School, Class of 1963, and later would graduate from Herkimer County Community College with an Associates degree in Accounting, also with honors. He previously had been employed by Waterbury Felt and P & S textiles. He most recently had worked in the shipping department at Beech-Nut in Canajoharie, NY. Mr. Klimacek served in the US Air Force at Lackland Airforce Base before being honorably discharged. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, was a known history buff, enjoyed reading, going to the library, walking on the bike trail, and watching NASCAR and horse races. He was also an animal lover who had several cats throughout his life. Ronald's great-nephew, Evan, was his pride and joy. They were partners in crime and could often be found together playing soccer, making sandcastles, going for walks, and looking for "diamonds". He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, John Klimacek; and sister and brother-in-law, Janet and David Winter. Survivors include his sister, June (Rick) Klimacek; a special niece, Erin Klimacek (Jeremy Anthony); sister-in-law, Karen Klimacek, nieces and nephews, Ricky (Amanda) Beacraft, John (Robin) Klimacek, Kimberly (Tricia) Scanlon, Kevin Klimacek, Julie (Mark) Regan, Jennifer (Joe) Merrell; Lonny Winter and Scott Winter; great nieces and nephews, Evan Anthony, Travis Anthony, Samantha (Rachel) Beacraft, Aden Beacraft, Isabelle Beacraft, John Klimacek, Nick Klimacek, Xavier Regan, Mariah Regan, and Maddy Merrell, as well as several cousins. A public Graveside service will be held on Saturday June 12th at 2:00 PM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls. Arrangements are entrusted to Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY 13365. Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in his memory please do so to your local humane society.
