Obituary of Arnold F. Brown

Mr. Arnold F. Brown, 81, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Arnold was born on January 5, 1940 in Little Falls, New York, son of the late Arnold E. and Goldie A. (Harwick) Brown. He was educated at Little Falls School District. His marriage to Carolyn J. Youker took place, at her family home, on Barto Hill, Fairfield, New York July 15, 1962. Together they celebrated 58 years. Arnold's earliest employment was at several local factories including Allegro Shoe Corporation, Little Falls, Palatine Dye, St. Johnsville, Standard Furniture, Herkimer. From 1966 to 1989 he worked at the Mohawk Valley Paper Mill, Little Falls, until a work related injury prevented him from further employment there. From 1991-1992 he was a Security Guard at Conusa, Canajoharie and from 1993-1997 at Daniel Green Shoe Corporation in Dolgeville. After suffering three heart attacks and several heart related surgeries he retired in 2005. Arnold became a member of Full Gospel Assembly of God, Salisbury Center, New York in 1973. He served, several years, on the board, was treasurer of the Men's Ministry, also secretary/treasurer of the Royal Rangers. From 1979 to 1996 he was a leader for the Buckaroo group. From 1994-1997 he was a co-teacher for the Beginners' Sunday School class with his wife, Carolyn. Arnold is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; children, Fredricka (Albert) Johnson, Fred (Donna) Brown, Lisa Farley and companion, Rick Murray, Timothy Sr. and companion, Deb Clark; 28 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grand children; many nieces and nephews and cousins. Arnold was predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Goldie Brown; in-laws, William and Orilla Youker, Sr., daughter, Faith Orilla in 1981; great-grandson, Daniel Rodriquez in 2011; brothers, Delvin and John; sister and brother-in-law, Marion and Robert Lynch; nephew, John (Jackie) Brown. The family invites friends and relatives to pay their respects from 10:00 am -12:00 noon on Monday June 21, 2021, at the Full Gospel Assembly of God, 106 Plant Road, Salisbury Center, NY 13454. A funeral services will follow at the church starting at noon, with burial taking place at Salisbury Rural Cemetery, Salisbury, New York. Arrangements are entrusted to Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY 13365. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Full Gospel Assembly of God, Salisbury Firehouse, all of Salisbury Center, New York, or charity of choice.
