Obituary of Jacqueline N. Williams

Jacqueline Ann Nelson Williams, 89, of Little Falls passed away on Saturday, November 6th at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center after a brief illness. Jackie was born January 9th, 1932, the daughter of John H. (Jack) Nelson and Grace (Denike) Nelson. Jackie grew up in Tuckahoe, New York and moved to Little Falls when she was 10 years old. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1950. On November 26, 1955 she married Ronald R. Williams in Middleville, NY. They moved to Johnnycake Road in 1960 and there they made a permanent home and raised their family. Jackie worked for many years in the Little Falls School System, holding a variety of positions and making many good friends. She enjoyed learning about technology and had a home computer before most of her contemporaries. She also enjoyed travel, especially when it involved visiting her children and grandchildren. She loved cats and lavished her one surviving cat with petting and attention. Jackie liked to tell stories of her youthful antics with her cousins in Tuckahoe. She was a joy to visit with and always had a smile for friends. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Francis (Mickey) Nelson. She is survived by her loving husband, Ron, three sons, and one daughter: Scott Williams (Vicki) of Iuka, MS; Shawn Williams (Barbara) of Babylon, NY; Shaye Williams (Celia) of Merritt Island, FL; and Stacie Stehle (Cary) of Craig, CO. She also leaves 6 grandchildren: Joshua Williams, Lea Averell, Jacie Barach, Jarad Williams, Conor Williams, and Sarah Williams.; and 5 great-grandchildren; Aiden Williams, Alexander Williams, Lilly Grace Williams, Ivy Barach, and Kaden Barach. Jackie will be dearly missed and always lovingly remembered. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitiation or funeral service for Jackie. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association or the Masonic Medical Research Institute.
