Obituary of Ann Unser

Ann E. Unser, 85, a longtime Little Falls resident passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter Linda at Canadarago Lake in Richfield Springs, NY on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

 

Ann was born on September 18th, 1936 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Eugene Noonan & Anna (Vail). She was a graduate of Little Falls schools. On June 7th, 1958 Ann was united to marriage to Wendell (Red) Unser in St. Mary’s Church in Little Falls. Ann worked at the Little Falls Hospital as an Activities Director and also for the NYS Board of Elections. For the last few years Ann resided with her daughter Linda who along with her daughter Debbie took daily care of her with never ending love & support. Ann was known for her soft spoken & kind friendly demeanor. She was devoted to her family and was of the Catholic faith and was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s Church in Little Falls. Ann & Red enjoyed traveling & visiting family & friends and traveled throughout the United States. She was an avid reader of books and loved going to the Little Falls library. She was also an active member of the YMCA and enjoyed swimming, walking & loved gardening. She loved dogs and will be missed by her dog Luna, who looked after her and protected her until she passed.

 

She is survived by her daughter Debbie Feeney (Unser) of Little Falls, son Dan and wife Nancy Unser of Charlotte, NC, daughter Linda Unser of Richfield Springs, NY, son Bill & wife Laurie Unser of Little Falls, NY. A brother Gene Noonan of Little Falls, a sister Rose Sexton of Virgina, A grand daughter Jade Unser and companion Chris Markwich of Charlotte, NC. A very special grandson Patrick Feeney & wife Erin of Schenectady,NY. Grand daughter Christine Lynch(Fox) and husband Dakota of Little Falls. Ann loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

She was blessed with great grand daughters Elizabeth Feeney of Schenectady, NY.  Alexa Eddy, River Lynch and great grandson Colton Lynch of Litte Falls. She also leaves behind many nieces & nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband Wendell (Red) Unser in 2004 and beloved and cherished granddaughter Kaitlin Feeney in 2005. A sister Mary Pierce of Rome, NY, Sister Ellen Alicia of Albany, NY.

 

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Friday, July 22 nd at 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Chapman Moser Funeral Home in Little Falls. A funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Little Falls at 11 am. A burial service will be held at St. Mary’s cemetery in East Herkimer following the church services.
