Obituary of Roger Johnson

Mr. Donald "Roger" Johnson, 92, of E. Monroe Street, Little Falls, NY, died on Tuesday June 27, 2023 at the The Alpine Nursing and Rehab Center. 

Roger, as he was known by most people, was a graduate of St. Johnsville High School. After graduation he traveled extensively, wherever he felt like going, spending time where he felt comfortable, then moving on to somewheres new, but always considering the Mohawk Valley his home. 

While working as a theater actor he would often reminisce about how Angela Lansbury would give him rides to work in her pink convertible. He later was an antique and collectable dealer, throughout the northeast. 

Many will remember Roger's extreme love for animals, especially cats, rescuing  an untold number of them. Many people would come to him for information on the history of the local area, and being a descendant of Sir William Johnson, he had extensive knowledge of. He also enjoyed being a civil war reenactor, collecting books, and  watching old movies. 

Roger was predeceased by all his immediate family, both of his parents, and his brother. 

A graveside service of remembrance will be held on Monday July 3rd, 2023, at 10:00am at the Rural Park Cemetery, Ingham Mills, NY. Arrangements are entrusted to Chapman-Moser Funeral home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY 13365.
