Obituary of Eugene J. Noonan

Eugene Joseph Noonan, 94, passed away peacefully in Cooperstown hospital on October 30st, 2023 

He was born on October 17, 1929, in Little Falls, NY, the son of the late Eugene and Anna (Vail) Noonan. He was a graduate from Saint Mary’s Academy. Gene was a long-time member and Governor of the Little Falls Moose Club. 

He was united in marriage to Evelyn Marie Daley (Noonan) on 5/09/1954. They shared 66 wonderful years together until her passing in 2019. 

He was a hardworking man who could fix just about anything. He was a family person, enjoying watching his children and grandchildren play sports. Enjoying the outdoors, he was an avid golfer and volunteered in the old St Mary’s cemetery. 

Gene was a devoted member of The Family Parish in Little Falls. He was a faithful and Godly man caring for others more than himself and willing to help his neighbors with their many projects. 

He is survived by his three children Master Sergeant (USAF) Eugene Noonan and Kay Keeper of Biloxi, Mississippi, Kenneth Noonan and wife Teddi of Little Falls, NY Joyce Noonan Walerstein and Husband Scott of Utica, NY. Nine Grandchildren, Kasey and husband Brian Baillie, Travis Noonan, Trevor Noonan, Kali Noonan, Megan Chapman and fiancé Randy McCaw, Glenn and wife Tera Chapman, Aaron Walerstein, Marc and Geo Muratore, Rachel Walerstein. Many nieces and nephews. 

Great grandchildren Ethan McCaw, Mitchel, Emmy and Quinn Baillie. Skyler Chapman. Gene’s sisters who have passed Sister Ellen Alicia Noonan, Mary Pierce, Ann Unser, Rose Sexton 

All are invited to call today, Thursday November 2nd, 2023, from 4-7PM at Chapman and Mosher Funeral Home 42 North Ann St. Little Falls, NY. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Friday November 3rd at the family Parish 763 E. Main St. Little Falls, NY
