Obituary of Grant F Palmer

Mr. Grant Palmer, III, 60, of River Road, Town of Danube, NY, passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at the Little Falls Bassett.

Grant was born on October 4, 1963, at the former Herkimer Hospital, the son of Grant F. Palmer II and Donna Farley Mower.

Grant graduated from Richfield Springs High School with honors, and while there, he excelled in many sports.

He most recently worked as a mixologist at LaSalle Labs; before that, he worked at Utica Alloys and spent a short time in Florida as a water pipe installer.

Most of his life was spent in the local area, with a short time in Florida.

Grant had served in the US Navy, enjoyed playing baseball and football games, and loved going to concerts, filling an album with concert stubs.

In 2006, he met Mary Blair, who he married in 2018 in Little Falls, with Poonico Healey's assistance.

He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents, nephew Brian Seelbach, niece Amber Palmer, and stepson Chad Cotton.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Palmer; stepchildren Cody Cotton, Joseph Cotton, Matthew Cotton, and Meagan Waldrone; grandchildren Jacob Cotton, Kileigh Cotton, Hunter Cotton, Jerrimiah Decker, Serenity Simonds, Americus Cotton, Tyler Cotton, and Archur Cotton; sister Debra Palmer (brother-in-law Tony Seymour); nieces and nephews Randy Decker, Noelle Palmer, and Anthony Seymour, and several cousins.

Arrangments are entrusted to Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY 13365.

The family will recieve friends and relatives on  Monday 24th, 10:00-12:00, at the funeral home, with a burial service following at Rural Park.

If anyone wishes to make a memorial contribution, please direct it to a youth organization in Grant's memory. He did not want flowers at his services.
