FAMILY OF PHYLLIS MUELLER. OPENED MY INTERNET FOR FIRST TIME IN SEVERAL WEEKS AND GOOGLED THE EVENING-TIMES PAPER. LEARNED OF PHYLLIS'S PASSING. MY DAD [JOHN Y. JOHNSON] AND OUR FAMILY MOVED FROM MARINETTE TO LITTLE FALLS IN 1945, DAD HAVING GOT A JOB OFFER FROM WIN WHITAKER {REED TISSUE CO.}. WE LIVED IN LITTLE FALLS FOR 6 YEARS BEFORE RETURNING TO WISCONSIN [MARINETTE]. MEMORIES FROM LITTLE FALLS. WIN AND VALETA WERE GOOD FRIENDS OF MOM, DAD AND ALL FOUR KIDS. WE DIDN'T HAVE A CAR SO WIN W.BROUGHT MOM TO THE HOSPITAL TO GIVE BIRTH TO MY YOUNGEST SISTER IRENE [7/18/46]. I DO REMEMBER THE VERY ATTRACTIVE, PRETTY, GROWN-UP WHITAKER GIRLS, EVEN AT MY YOUNG AGE. I RECALL ONE WAS A DRUM MAJORETTE. LITTLE FALLS WAS SMALL ENOUGH THAT WE SAW EACH OTHER OFTEN. THE MUELLER BROTHERS WERE ALSO MY HEROS AS THEY BOTH PLAYED FOOTBALL FOR THE SEMI-PRO TEAM. SO ALL OF THIS BROUGHT BACK GOOD MEMORIES. MY BELATED CONDOLENCES TO YOU ALL. I remember Mrs. Mueller's warmth and kindness when as kids we would convene at your house on west monroe street for playing football or baseball in the yard next to your house. One beautiful lady has left us. I enjoyed going up to Alpine and visiting with her. She was really special to me when mom passed away. She was the most caring person I met. I'll certainly miss her!
