Thinking of Alice at Christmas time, because when we were little we used to go up every Christmas to visit Cousin Alice and Evalyn and have their yummy ham and cookies.
She was a nice woman and we have fond memories of visiting each summer with our little ones as well.

Spending a good portion of my childhood in that house on Fall Hill was a special experience. Climbing trees, picking blackcaps, riding up and down the long driveway, playing with the neighbor kids. Alice Bellinger made that possible. I remember her fondly from when I was a kid in the 70s, and had several nice visits with her on return trips as an adult. Condolences to all of her extended family.

We will dearly miss cousin Alice, she was a very special person in our lives. She was a very caring, gentle hearted, and amazing lady. We feel horrible that we won't be able to attend the services, but she will forever be in ours and memories!

From 1970-1978 we rented the Fall Hill house from Alice. It was a very happy, special time living there---being entrusted with the house, the yard, the garden. Exploring the barns. Our three then-young children loved the house and the surrounding area. Alice, Katie, and Evalyn became good friends, as well as sharing the history of the house and the area. Alice was amused that Dick turned the small music room (complete with piano), into a workshop. I taught a nursery school in the "playroom". Alice was very apologetic when she had to raise our rent to $100/month. Dick and I visited Alice in Mohawk several years ago when we were in the area --- and David, Andy, and Anne have each stopped at the house when passing through the Mohawk Valley. It was not as large as they remembered. It was a privilege to know Alice and be counted among her friends. A wonderful lady who enriched our lives.
