Obituary of Alice E Bellinger

LITTLE FALLS - Alice E. Bellinger, 94 formerly of State Route 5S (Fall Hill), Little Falls, NY and more recent of Valley Health Services, Herkimer, NY passed away Monday, July 20, 2015 at Little Falls Hospital. She was born in the Bellinger family historical brick home on Fall Hill in the Town of Little Falls, NY, the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Alice Catherine (Sharp) Bellinger. Miss. Bellinger was a graduate of Little Falls High School Class of 1937 and was a graduate of the Utica School of Commerce Class of 1940. She was a member of St. Paul’s Universalist Church, Little Falls and was an active member of the Auskerada, Maquaes, Rock City, Chapter# 204 Order of the Eastern Star (OES), Dolgeville serving as secretary for many years. Miss. Bellinger was employed as a secretary for the former Chris Hansen Labs, Little Falls and later for the Library Bureau, Herkimer. She was last employed as a secretary for the former Mahoney & Mahoney Agency, Little Falls until her retirement. Miss. Bellinger took great pride in the Bellinger family home, where many historical groups would tour the home built in the 1820’s She is survived by her cousin; Beverly Doran of Milford, Del., and her family, many cousins including Donald Bellinger and his wife Jane, Utica (formerly of Little Falls), and many dear friends especially; Charles (Thursty) and Ethel McKusick, Little Falls. Order of the Eastern Star Memorial Services will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 2:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY with the services by the members of the Auskerada, Maquaes, Rock City Chapter # 204. Interment will take place in Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Monday, July 27, 2015 from 1-2 pm and to attend the funeral services to follow. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Miss. Bellinger be considered to the Herkimer County Humane Society, PO Box 73, Mohawk, NY 13407. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
